Objectives

During this series of programme-related activities and workshops, you can:

  • explore your interests and talents in different disciplines;
  • experience the unique university life in The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK);
  • understand the uniqueness of HSUHK through communication with current students;
  • award by certificate of attendance* upon completion of the assigned activities.

 

* Participants are required to complete all the assigned activities, and submit the survey after the activities.

  2. The schedule and activities may be revised based on circumstances on the event day.
  3. All participants will be allocated to at least one half-day of activities according to the order of priority. More activities may be assigned according to the order of priority subject to quota available. However, if the applications exceed the activity quota, other activities will be assigned to the applicants. Successful applicants will be informed individually via email.
  4. No relevant knowledge is required for all activities.
  5. HSUHK reserves the right of making final decisions on all matters in relation to HSUHK Summer Academy 2024.

Eligibility

 

The following students are eligible to apply:

  • Local S.4 to S.6 students in Academic Year 2023/24; or
  • Local students pursuing another equivalent curriculum e.g. International Baccalaureate (IB) or GCE-AL.
  • Preference will be given to S.5 students.

Participants will receive certificates of participation upon completion of the assigned activities and submission of evaluation form.

Important Notes

  1. Upon completion of application procedure, all confirmed places are non-transferable.
  2. Applicants who would like to withdraw from the HSUHK Summer Academy 2024 should email us (sa@hsu.edu.hk) as soon as possible.
  3. Notification email will be sent to all participants if the event being cancelled by HSUHK.
  4. HSUHK reserves the right of making final decisions on all matters in relation to HSUHK Summer Academy 2024.

FAQ

Programme and Activities

There are morning and afternoon sessions. With the limited quota, each successful applicant will be assigned with at least ONE half-day activity. More activities may be assigned according to the order or priority subject to quota available. However, if the applications exceed the activity quota, other activities will be assigned to the applicants. Successful applicants will be informed individually via email.

The academic activities are primarily conducted in the mode of demo lecture, game or workshop. Participants are required to complete the worksheets, group discussions or group presentations in class only.

Participants must join the out-of-classroom activities to experience the diversified university life.
