Dr. HUANG Kai Wai, Willy
Lecturer
Department of Management
Dr. Willy Huang earned his PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham, U.K., and brings a global mix of sharp theory and playful practice to the classroom. With extensive teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Hong Kong and the U.K., he turns abstract management and economic ideas into hands‑on games, lively debates, and memorable “aha” moments. Outside lectures he writes policy commentaries, partners with private‑sector stakeholders on issues like population policy and retirement protection and quietly plots social innovations over too much coffee and sticky notes. His research focuses on labour and population economics and education innovation — and he’s been known to test theories on unsuspecting students (consensually).
